As Senator Barack Obama returns from across the pond, the analyses pour in, everyone asking the same question: Was it a success? While pundits dissect and argue away, one marker of the trip stands out: the polls. Initial polling shows that Obama has indeed gained in points. Gallup found Obama ahead by nine points, his greatest lead yet. In addition a Fox News poll found young voters greatly prefer Obama and are much more enthusiastic about the Illinois Senator.
McCain’s response? Ignore the issues and label Obama un-American. Perhaps he’s just getting jealous that Obama’s stealing the spotlight.
